MESS is a print-only, independently published, bi-annual magazine for the home cook. It approaches cooking not as performance or perfection, but as a daily, iterative practice.

Issue 01 brings together recipes alongside written and visual stories centered on intuition and the everyday act of making food for yourself and the people you love.

The recipes are intentionally flexible and meant to be adapted. Inside, you’ll find six seasonal recipes—including one from a guest contributor—along with reflections on the tools and ingredients that shape how we cook.
